Micah YoungAward winning Music Director, Best Music Director in the New York Musical Theatre Festival 2013. Micah was born in Washington D. C. and grew up in New Jersey, North Dakota and Michigan before settling in New York City.  He is a versatile musician  ranging in performances on Broadway to classical concerts.  He trained at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and studied piano at the Manhattan School of Music with Constance Keene.

He made his Broadway conducting debut with the Tony award-winning musical, Spring Awakening.  He has gone on to play for many other musicals including White Christmas, Mamma Mia, Chicago and Mary Poppins.  As a music director Micah has worked at the Goodspeed Opera House, Paper Mill Playhouse, The York Theatre, The Midtown International Theatre Festival and the New York Musical Festival.

As a composer and lyricist he is an alumnus of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.  His works have been premiered at Lincoln Center as well as several cabaret and concert venues around New York City.  His composing skills range from instrumental, choral and musical theatre repertoire.

He is currently music directing the National Tour of Fun Home.
