It Wasn’t Love At All

Bea:
You think you have an effect,
On the way that I feel?
You think I’m pining away in my room ev’ryday?
Well I’m sorry to say,
It wasn’t love at all.

Ben:
You think I want to go back
To the way that we were?
You think that we’d move along and as steady and strong?
Well I’m sorry you’re wrong,
You see it wasn’t love at all.

Bea:
If it was love, I think we both can agree,
Things would have stayed if they were meant to be.

Ben:
If it was love there’d be more to explore,
And if I could miss you, well…
I think you would miss me more.

Ben:
You think I kept all your notes?
You think that you were ideal?
When ev’ry day was a trial, just just to get you to smile, No, I knew all the while
It wasn’t love at all.

Bea:(well)
You think that you could amuse?
You think that you made me laugh?
On the days you would try, I could easily cry
Now I remember why
It wasn’t love at all.

Bea:
If it was love,
I think we both can be sure,
You wouldn’t be so dull or demure.

Ben:
Whatever it was,
whatever we had,
Let’s call it a lapse…
And for that be glad.

BeaL
If it was love,
We’d never argue or shout.

Ben:
If that was love,
Then I could do without,
Now that we’re here,

Bea:
Now that we’re clear;
It wasn’t love,

Ben:
It wasn’t love,

Both:
at all.
