What Bliss!

What bliss!
What joy!
What hope it gives
To fill my heart with sounds I’ve heard.

In this!
The joy!
The hope that lives
To light my soul with fire
That speaks the word.

I woke to feel the Spirit move within me,
I felt the rush of wind,
The burst of light.

Amazed and astonished,
Bewildered because
It was such a wond’rous sight!

And then I heard the voices in each language;
From every mouth it poured,
From every tongue.

They said some will see visions,
Some will dream dreams
Of songs yet to be sung.

And the Spirit poured out,
Poured out!

What bliss!
What joy!
What hope it gives
To fill my heart with sounds I’ve heard.

In this!
The joy!
The hope that lives
To light my soul with fire that speaks the word!
